Operations Assessment
Find where your operation is losing money.
We look at your inventory, scheduling, equipment, quality, and systems, then show you the biggest opportunities in dollars. You get a clear plan for what to fix first and what it's worth.
Free 30-minute call, no obligation · Part of your assessment fee goes toward the build.

Why it matters
You're losing money. But where?
Most manufacturers feel it before they can prove it. Too much cash sits on the shelves while the right parts run short. Ship dates slip. Overtime never seems to go away. The answers live in spreadsheets, whiteboards, and a few people's heads.
Guessing where to start is expensive. Fix the wrong problem and you spend time and money with nothing to show for it.
Sound familiar?
- Excess inventory and constant shortages
- Late deliveries and daily schedule changes
- Machines that stop more than they should
- Scrap and rework that keep coming back
- Overtime with no clear cause
- Numbers you can't trust or can't find
How it works
Three steps from guessing to knowing.
Assess
We spend time at your facility with your team. We walk the process, review your systems and reports, and talk with the people who do the work every day.
Capture
Where the data doesn't exist yet, we help you start collecting it. That can be as simple as a short tracking tool your team uses for a few weeks.
Quantify
We put a dollar value on each opportunity we find, so you can see which problems are worth solving first.
Most assessments take 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the option you choose.
What you get
A clear report with real dollar figures.
At the end of the assessment, you get a written report and a walkthrough meeting with your leadership team. No vague advice. Every finding comes with a number.
- Opportunities ranked by value. What each problem is costing you and what fixing it is worth.
- Root causes. Why each problem happens, not just where it shows up.
- Quick wins. Changes you can make right away, often with no new software.
- A recommended plan. What to fix first, what it takes, and the expected payback.
- What we noticed nearby. Issues in related areas worth a closer look.
Choose your assessment
Start with one area or look at everything.
Every option uses the same method and gives you the same kind of report. The difference is how much of your operation we cover.
What we look at
Ten areas where manufacturers lose money.
Pick the areas that matter most, or let a Full Operations Scan find them.
Inventory
How much cash is tied up in the wrong stock, and why do the right parts run short?
Scheduling and capacity
Why do ship dates slip, and how much can you really make?
Equipment and downtime
Why do machines stop, and which stops cost the most?
Quality and scrap
Where do scrap and rework come from, and why do they repeat?
Labor
Where does your team's time go, and what's behind the overtime?
Material flow and lead time
Where does work wait, and how long does an order really take?
Maintenance
Is maintenance planned or mostly reactive, and what does that cost?
Purchasing and suppliers
Are late or costly suppliers hurting your schedule and margins?
Demand and delivery
How well do you plan for what customers will order and when?
Systems and data
Can you trust your numbers, and are old systems holding you back?
After the assessment
The assessment is the start, not the end.
Once you know where the money is, we can help you go get it. If you move forward with us, 50% of your assessment fee is credited toward the build. And if you'd rather take the report and run with it on your own, that's fine too. It's yours to keep.
Integrate
We connect the systems and data you already have, so everyone works from the same numbers.
Build
We design the system with your team in a short Design & Scope phase, then build it in phases.
Sustain
We keep the tools running and track the savings month by month, so you can see the results.
The tool behind the assessment
Meet OSCAR.
OSCAR stands for Operations Scan, Cost Analysis & Recommendations. It’s the tool we built to run every assessment. OSCAR brings your data together, compares it against how strong operations run, and shows where the money is. It means your assessment is based on numbers, not just opinions.
Common questions
Questions we hear a lot.
Do we have to buy software after the assessment?
No. Many findings can be fixed with process changes alone, and we'll tell you when that's the case. If software makes sense, we'll show you why and what it's worth.
Who does the assessment?
One of our operations and technology experts leads every assessment, with a background in manufacturing and continuous improvement. You work with the same team from the first walk-through to the final report.
How much of our team's time will it take?
A few hours from your leadership team and short conversations with the people closest to the work. We work around your production schedule.
What if our data is a mess or we don't have much?
That's common, and it's not a problem. We start with what you have, and our Data Capture add-on helps you collect what's missing.
Will you try to replace our ERP?
No. We work with the systems you already have. We only recommend replacing a system when it's clearly costing you more than it's worth.
Do you repair equipment or provide staff?
No. We find where the problems are and build the tools to fix them. Your maintenance team and staff do their work with better information.
Is our information kept private?
Yes. We're happy to sign an NDA before we start.
What size companies do you work with?
Small and mid-size manufacturers, usually 2 to 500 employees, especially those without a large internal technology team.
